strong style="line-height: 20.8px; font-size: medium; text-align: justify;">This tool was developed by ARUP in order to assess the sustainability of projects based on key themes such as transport, biodiversity, culture, employment and skills. Results of assessments are presented visually through the unique SpeaR diagram. The traffic-light colour coding system denotes the performance in each area.
The SpeaR software can be used from the initial design stage to operation, where a sustainability appraisal is required. It is available in a range of languages including English, Chinese, German, Italian, Polish and Spanish, and is based on global sustainability standards.
